May the Peace of Christ be always with you.

Saint David's Episcopal Church is a warm visitor-friendly church near the Delaware and Pennsylvania border. We serve New Castle County just north of Wilmington, Delaware and southern Delaware County in Pennsylvania, just south of Chester and Philadelphia. We celebrated our 50th anniversary in November 2004. Please join us.

Saint David's Episcopal Church is also home to St. David's Day School which provides quality preschool education. The Day School, which began serving the community more than 50 years ago, presently serves 160 children in its Monday-Friday program.

O God, you have taught us to keep all your commandments by loving you and our neighbor: Grant us the grace of your Holy Spirit, that we may be devoted to you with our whole heart, and united to one another with pure affection; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Forgive our enemies, persecutors and slanderers, and turn their hearts.

The Church is now in its longest liturgical phase, the season after Pentecost. Sometimes known as "Ordinary Time," this period begins in early summer and ends as Advent starts in late November. The color for this season is green, the color of life, growth and hope. This segment of the church year focuses our attention on the work of the Church itself as a sign of Christ’s continuing presence and ongoing activity in the world.

Our Mission:
St. David's Episcopal Church lives as a community of disciples entrusted to pass on God's love in Jesus Christ to all.

As Episcopalians, we reveal our Mission and Vision through:
Celebrating Eucharist and the joy of God in our lives,
Accepting new ideas, people, and experiences,
Reaching out into the community to witness and love as God loves us,
Incorporating the willingness to take risks in Christ's name,
Nurturing and strengthening each other in our open journeys and,
Growing in new directions.

The Seamen's Church Institute
This isn't our sister parish, more like a second cousin. One of our associate priests, the Rev. James Von Dreele, is the director of this outreach to seafarers. Click here to see their website.

"God, you have called us together as a community of faith and discipleship. Give us the gifts of wisdom, courage, clarity, perseverance, generosity and joy. Open our eyes to your presence and your spirit's movement, that our choices and decisions may further the gospel of Christ and be consistent with your great desire for us."
