Saint David's Episcopal Church is a warm visitor-friendly church near the Delaware and Pennsylvania border. We serve New Castle County just north of Wilmington, Delaware and southern Delaware County in Pennsylvania, just south of Chester and Philadelphia. We celebrated our 50th anniversary in November 2004. Please join us. Please take a look at out current and past newsletters. Saint David's Episcopal Church is also home to St. David's Day School which provides quality preschool education. The Day School, which began serving the community more than 50 years ago, presently serves 160 children in its Monday-Friday program. Almighty God, you have built your Church upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone: Grant us so to be joined together in unity of spirit by their teaching, that we may be made a holy temple acceptable to you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. THE FOURTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST ALTAR FLOWERS are given to the Glory of God by Pat CONCERNING THE SUNDAYS AFTER PENTECOST The Church is now in its longest liturgical phase, the season after Pentecost. Sometimes known as "Ordinary Time," this period begins in early summer and ends as Advent starts in late November. The color for this season is green, the color of life, growth and hope. This segment of the church year focuses our attention on the work of the Church itself as a sign of Christ’s continuing presence and ongoing activity in the world, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
